Google Maps might copy another big Waze feature #IndiaNEWS #Apps
As everyone knows, Google owns two different navigation apps, Google Maps, and Waze, and while this may seem counterintuitive to some, the corporation keeps both on the market and improves both on a regular basis.
However, a new Google Maps feature that might be added to the app sooner rather than later may have been inspired by Waze, according to a recent story claiming that the Mountain View, California-based search giant intends to add toll estimations to the route preview screen.
To put it another way, every time you open Google Maps and try to set up a new navigation location, the app should be able to show you how much tolls would cost.
Users should be able to estimate total expenses for each route in this manner, allowing them to make more educated decisions about which route to take.
If you think youve seen this feature before, its because Waze has been providing it for several years. The Google-owned app does include cost information, such as tolls and gas prices, with some of it given by map editors and users themselves.
Waze, like Google Maps, displays toll charges on the route preview screen, allowing users to not only see how fast theyll get to their destination but also estimate how much theyll have to spend by utilizing a given route.
This new Google Maps function, however, is still in its early stages. The concept is currently being considered by the Google Maps preview program, and the development team is simply looking for the best way to introduce it, as the whole thing must obviously be as accurate as possible, especially given the large number of users who rely on Google Maps for information on a regular basis.
