Chrome 94 Canary has enabled Google Lens for selected Page regions #IndiaNEWS #Google
Ever since Google had launched the Google Lens, not only was it instantly popular, but also it turned out to be one of the most used features on Google search, camera apps, and much more. As per the data provided by the tech giant, Google Lens has more than 500 million downloads. After a long time, Google Lens has come to desktop with the launch of Chrome 92 which was released very recently. In the new version, the “Search Google for Image context menu option has been replaced with Google Lens. Google has also planned to allow users to search for the selected area on a web page through Google Lens. This feature is available in Chrome 94 Canary.
To use the Google Lens Region Search feature in Chrome, a user needs to make sure that their Chrome browser is updated to Chrome Canary 94. Subsequently, they need to search for “Enable Lens Region Search to enable the Lens Region Search flag; from there on, select enabled and restart the browser. After finishing this process, the users need to open any web page on the browser, right-click on it and select “Search Part of the page with Google Lens. Selecting a portion of a page with a mouse will trigger the Google Lens Region Search and the results will appear in a new tab on the Google Lens Website.
However, the results are not always perfect, so if a user is dissatisfied with the result, they can also try Google Image Search or even use the Upload option on the website.
Since a few of the results are not up to mark to the users’ expectations, we can only hope that the Chrome team will work on refining the Google Lens search feature for Image and selected Page portions to show results that would be quite satisfactory to the users’ liking.
