A few days ago a photo appeared on Twitter that showed a strap. The appearance of the strap made many people believe that the strap belongs to an upcoming yet unannounced Apple Watch.



People also believed the strap to belong to a 45mm Apple Watch as the size mentioned in the leaked message matches the description of the said smartwatch. The photo was tweeted by a Twitter user under the name DuanRui. The photo and the subsequent description of the photo are consistent with the signature that the Californa-based tech giant uses to indicate the size of its smartwatches. Although the description of the photo matches the description of an Apple watch, it can never guarantee the validity of the claim. Moreover, the fact that the photo was not DuanRui’s own, but rather it was extracted from another source also questions the validity of the claim.



The current Apple Watches available on the market come in two case sizes: 40 mm and 44mm. Previously, the Apple Watch Series 4 which had come out back in 2018 featured different case sizes: 38mm and 42mm.



There have been a few rumors surrounding the upcoming Apple Watches. Most of them proclaim that Apple will redesign its flagship wearable starting this year. Apparently, according to these rumors, Apple will do away with the rounded edges of the smartwatches, and come out with designs that are more angular. Notably, the angular designs are already featured in the current iPhones and iPads. If Apple decides to change the shape of the Watchs face, it may mean that Apple will have to implant larger screens, larger batteries while also introducing new health features into the watch’s small chassis.



Apple is expected to reveal the Apple Watch Series 7 along with the iPhone 13 at an event that is expected to take place this fall. Recent rumors suggest that the company will make an announcement in early September and then in the middle of the month.
