Mysore/Mysuru: Cardiac related ailments are one of the leading causes for death globally. Once considered as a condition which affects only the elderly is now affecting the younger generation on a large scale.Â
To create awareness among people about cardiac problems and its prevention, Columbia Asia Hospital, Mysuru (A Unit of Manipal Hospitals) will hold a webinar “Healthy Heartâ€? on Aug. 28 between 11 am and 12 noon. People can call Mob: 96200-30123 for free registration.Â
Dr. Upendra Shenoy, Consultant Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon, Chief of Medical Services, Columbia Asia Hospital, Mysuru and Dr. C.B. Keshavamurthy, Consultant, Interventional Cardiology, Columbia Asia Hospital, will address the session and answer the queries.
Dr. Upendra Shenoy said “In most cases, people confuse cardiac related problems with other health issues and delay treatment. This delay can complicate the situation and may be fatal. Though we keep stressing on following healthy lifestyle and tackling stress, many people ignore it with the misconception that they are fit and healthy. Even if they experience any symptoms like chest pain, irregular heart beat they hardly take action as they are not aware of the symptoms of cardiac ailments. The primary purpose of this webinar is to create awareness on prevention, symptoms and measures to be taken if they experience heart problems.
