What are Hyderabadis grateful for this #WorldGratitudeDay 2021? #IndiaNEWS #Features
Hyderabad: In the hustle-and-bustle of daily life, we usually tend to forget to take a moment and express our gratitude to several small things in life. So, World Gratitude Day has been designed to bring the whole world together in a day that is all about being thankful.

Celebrated on September 21 every year, on this day, many take a moment to appreciate what they are grateful for in their lives.

Similarly, many also took to Twitter to express what they are grateful for. And guess what? According to Twitter internal data, since January 1 this year, Hyderabad becomes the fifth city in India to have tweeted the most about gratitude after Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

So, here are a few snippets of what the Hyderabadis are grateful for in the city:

“Well, I’m so grateful to be a Hyderabadi on the whole. The city is so welcoming for all kinds of people. I think the city in itself can be an example of unity in diversity where people migrating from several cities in the country find a comfortable second home. I’m grateful that I chose to work in Hyderabad and now I consider myself to be a hardcore and proud Hyderabadi, shares Akansha Senugupta, an IT employee working in Hyderabad for over a decade now.

As the festivities of Ganesh Chaturthi have just come to an end, Nag Rudra, a businessman in the city, is grateful to the Government for having permitted and monitored such a smooth celebration throughout the 11-day festival.

“The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is our most favourite. We were very sceptical if the Telangana Government would grant permission for big idols this year. Well, to the surprise of many, the festival was a grand success throughout the city. I’m really grateful to our government and also our Hyderabad Police force for such a hassle-free process from the first day till the immersion, Nag Rudra shared.

Well, several city dwellers are also grateful to be meeting their loved ones yet again after a complete year of being confined to homes. “Never did we think that simply meeting our loved ones would turn into a task. But now, I am grateful to be able to meet and spend time with my family after a horrendous year of pandemic, Keerthana Chilkuri, a post-graduate student from the city shares.

Well, what are you grateful for on this #WorldGratitudeDay?
