Bandi Sanjay faces tough time, farmers question him on paddy procurement in Nalgonda #IndiaNEWS #Nalgonda
Nalgonda: BJP State president Bandi Sanjay failed to give clarity to the farmers when they questioned him as to whether the Centre would procure the paddy for the Yasangi (Rabi) crop season or not. They demanded to know whether they should cultivate paddy at all or not.



During his visit to IKP paddy procurement center at Arjala Bavi in the district on Monday, Sanjay had a tough time facing a flood of questions from the farmers on paddy procurement. As the farmers did not respond positively to his visit, Sanjay concluded his visit to IKP center within 10 minutes and left from the spot.



A farmer Tirupari Janaiah brought to the notice of Sanjay about the Centres decision to not to procure paddy for the Yasangi crop season. He sought clarification from the BJP leader whether the Centre has come out with such a decision or not. When Sanjay told him that Centre never told that paddy procurement would be stopped, the farmer insisted him to tell whether he can take up cultivation of paddy in the Yasangi season.



Sensing the mood of the farmers around him, he quipped, You can�.



Madagani Yadamma, a woman farmer told hardship would be created for the farmers, if the paddy procurement was stopped by the Centre. She asked Sanjay to assure them that the Centre would continue the procurement of the paddy and instill confidence in the farmers. But, Sanjay moved from her paddy stock without giving any reply.



Another farmer Paduri Rudra Reddy deplored that it was not on the part of the Centre to deny procurement of paddy on the pretext of lack of space in godowns.



Farmer Kodali Lingaiah said that it was not proper to the leader of any political to level allegation that paddy procurement was slow at Arjala Bavi paddy procurement centre, where the highest quantity of paddy was purchased from the farmers in the erstwhile district in the last crop season.
