Big names, WBBL stars missing as BCCI announce squads for Women’s Challenger Trophy #IndiaNEWS
Most big guns of Indian cricket, including the players coming off the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia, were rested from Senior Women’s ODI Challenger Trophy as BCCI announced the squads on Saturday.Sneh Rana, Taniya Bhatia, Shikha Pandey and Pooja Vastrakar were named captains of India A, B, C and D respectively. Apart from ODI regulars Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami, Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues. All of them featured in the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia. The tournament will begin with a clash between the Sneh Rana-led India A and an India B helmed by Taniya Bhatia, on December 4 at Vijayawada. All the matches will be held in Vijayawada in the four-team tournament which will conclude on December 9.India C will have Shikha Pandey as skipper while Pooja Vastrakar will lead India D.
