Hyderabad: With Telangana securing top slot in the growth of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and the Per Capita Income (PCI) among the larger States, netizens of Telangana State as well as other States heaped praises on the Chandrashekhar Rao government over its achievements. Twitter witnessed more than 60,000 tweets with hashtags #TriumphantTelangana and #ThankYouKCR trending at the national level.
Busting all myths prior to its formation, Telangana emerged as one of the top performers in the country in terms of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and the Per Capita Income (PCI) by achieving highest growth rate in the last eight years. Sharing the news, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday tweeted, We are not just vibrant, we are Triumphant Telangana.
Responding to his tweets, several netizens from India and abroad started appreciating the State government over the economic progress of Telangana. Many foreign dignitaries also re-tweeted his tweet and praised Telanganas economic growth. Extending their support, the Twitterati including Ministers, TRS MLAs, activists, NRIs and people from all walks of life, lauded the development of the State and shared their views about the progress made by the State in various sectors.
The netizens strongly felt that Telangana was a great example of development, if the State was run by a capable leader. They pointed out that despite lack of support from the Modi government at the Centre, Telangana stood firm and was developing the State in tune with the aspirations of the people. They also criticised the BJP government at the Centre for its discrimination towards Telangana.
