Mechanised Dhobi Ghats in 33 districts: Harish Rao #IndiaNEWS #Medak
Medak: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said that they will build ultra-modern Dhobi ghats at all the 33 district headquarters across Telangana at an expenditure of Rs 2 crores each for the benefit of the washermen community.
Addressing a gathering after unveiling the Chakali Ilamma statute in Medak on Sunday, the Minister said that two acres land will be allotted for the Rajaka Community in Medak town besides taking up the construction of a function hall for the community with an outlay of Rs one crore. The Minister has also laid a foundation for building BC Residential School in Medak town with a budget allocation of Rs 4.20 crore. Rao has also inaugurated a mechanized sweeping machine in the municipality that was bought by spending Rs 44 lakhs.
When the representatives of Rajaka Community appealed to him for their inclusion among Scheduled Castes, the Minister assured to take up their request with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Harish Rao has elaborated on various development and welfare schemes taken by the government and the amount they were spending on these works. MLA Medak Padmadevendar Reddy, Municipal Chairman Chandrapal, Vice-chairman Mallikarjun Goud and others were present.
