Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday said the State unit was inviting union Home Minister Amit Shah for the second phase of ‘Prajasangrama Yatra’ to be started from April 15.
“We are planning to meet him personally to invite him to flag off the yatra,� he said, interacting with media persons at the State office headquarters here on Sunday. The visit of BJP national president JP Nadda is yet to be finalised.
Referring to Yasangi paddy procurement, Sanjay said the Central government promised to purchase every grain from farmers in the State. The Centre spent Rs 84,125 crore in the last seven years for procuring paddy from Telangana.
On clashes between two groups in Bodhan over installing the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he condemned the highhandedness of the police, who also used abusive language against persons who were installing the statue.
“In case of any problem, the police officials should resolve it amicably, but they should not use force or abusive language. Is this friendly policing?� Sanjay asked and assured that the BJP would take care of the welfare of party activists.
