Former world championship silver medallist and Olympian Anjum Moudgil won bronze in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event Sunday at the ISSF World Cup in Changwon, South Korea, making it her second individual World Cup medal of the year, in consecutive events. She had won silver in the same event at the Baku World Cup held last month.The Men’s 3P team later won silver, going down 12-16 to the Czech Republic in the gold medal match, to give India a second medal on the day. Sunday’s efforts thus saw India hold on to top spot in the medal standings, with four gold, five silver and two bronze to their overall tally. Korea is next best with three gold and one silver medal.Moudgil had qualified for the ranking round in her event on Saturday, finishing sixth in the qualifiers. She began the ranking round on Sunday not too impressively and after the first 10 shots in the Kneeling position was ranked fifth out of eight shooters.She slipped down further to sixth after the second Prone series but shot solidly in the final Standing position, to steadily climb up the ladder.
