Driverless trains to be introduced in Chennai Metro Rail’s phase II #IndiaNEWS #National
Chennai (TN), October 06 (ANI): The work for phase II of the Chennai metro rail has begun and is progressing at a fast pace. The new phase will extend till Parandur. It will be based completely on unattended train operations and would introduce driverless trains from the very beginning. Rajesh Chaturvedi, Director, Chennai Metro Rail said, “Work for phase II of Chennai Metro Rail is going very fast. Phase II will be based on Unattended Train Operation. There wont be any drivers; trains will run on signals.�
