Chennai, Madurai (TN), Sept 30 (ANI): As part one of Mani Ratnam’s dream project ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ hit the theatres on September 30, cinema lovers across Tamil Nadu celebrated. A vast sea of fans gathered outside Rohini Silver Screens movie theatre in Chennais Koyambedu. Madurai fans went a step ahead and were seen offering milk to the poster of film’s male lead, Karthi. ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ is an epic-period film adapted from the book of the same name. The film also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in one of the lead roles.
